Why We Need Permissions

To function properly, GrayScaleAdz needs certain browser permissions. Here's why each one is necessary:

activeTab

Allows the extension to access the current tab only when you interact with the extension

storage

Allows the extension to save your preferences locally on your device

tabs

Allows the extension to detect the current website to apply your settings correctly

scripting

Allows the extension to apply grayscale filters to advertisements on the pages you visit

host_permissions

Allows the extension to function across websites to identify and modify advertisements. You maintain full control through the whitelist feature, which lets you exclude specific domains from grayscale effects.

What We Don't Do

GrayScaleAdz only modifies the visual appearance of advertisements by applying grayscale filters. It does not:

Collect your browsing history
Track your online activity
Send any of your data to external servers
Store any personal information
